Puerto D'Azur, or "Blue", was born in Belgium and imported to the United States in 1998 where he went on to be the champion of the 100 Day Test with very high index scores in both dressage (132.73) and jumping (127.09). He held the highest overall score of 132.23 out of 20 stallions that year.

Blue was lightly competed on the East Coast in mid level dressage and was trained to FEI by Bill Coester. In 2006 he was ridden and shown lightly by Shane Brasher who commented on his natural ability for ease of the bigger fences.

Blue was retired to the breeding shed due to a soft tissue injury and we are happy to see his foals doing so well in the show rings (see our website). Blue seems to add height and length of leg as well as passes on his superb temperament and trainability. He comes from 4 full generations of proven bloodlines of dressage and jumper producers. His sire Azur De Depaulstra was the reserve champion of the Belgium testings. Azur Depaultra is sired by the icon stallion, Grand Veneur and the well known Jalisco B. His dam sire, Primo De Bruyeres was the sire of the double gold Olympic stallion Jus De Pomme and his final lower line is Fantastique who was labeled as a super performance sire in Belgium and France.
